Good News To All Promising Debaters Of GPS!

Debate Competition
Open for : High School students only

Nature of the competition : Team based competition, each team consisting of 3 people + max.2 substitutes + 1 compulsory trainee adjudicator per team.
Registration fee : Rp 270.000,- per team + Rp 60.000,- for each additional team member (substitute). Free for the trainee adjudicator

The Debate Competition consists of two teams taking opposite sides, arguing upon a specified “motion” (given topic being discussed). e.COM 2008 will become a preparation competition before national selection for high school students, as we will adapt the WSDC (World School Debating Championship) style which allows POI (Points of Information) during the 7 minute substantive speeches of the speakers.

The purposes of this competition are to develop public speaking skills, to widen knowledge and to sharpen mind, logic, and critical thinking of the students.
