Global Prestasi School has a program "HAPPY ENGLISH DAY". This program has a goal in motivating teachers and students to speak in english language. Is there any advantages/disadvatages of this program in promoting globally competitive quality of education?

I think the program is very good in motivating us to speak in English.
emm . i dont think so .
because it make our relationship is bad .
coz . if someone has a card .
he/she will avenge .
well I think ,the advantages are we can improve our english ! we can improve our pronounciation and get used to hear and speak english!
and some the disadvantages are lot of student who cant speak english correctly wont talk outside the class! and cant speak freely.

English Day Program is a really strong program in motivating teachers and students in accordance to their daily live. I was once with Mr. Arnell (sorry if I mispronounce) who is our English Coordinator and he showed me lot's of programs that are very effective in conducing people to speak English. But the challenge that we must breakthrough is how we can make this program work so that every one in the school can speak English on English day.
Don't waste English day, because this is the most valuable time for you to speak English with your friends or teacher. Thinks of other national and/or national plus school who have such program. Indeed very little. Therefore we're very lucky. The best way to learn a language is to speak with it. Make conversation, discussion, debate in English. I found my English been improved by a blast by doing these things. Honestly, if we're talking about grammar all i know are those simple presents, not the complex ones.
You don't have to be the grammar geek before even trying to speak the language, since for all i know, grammar is made after the people speaks or communicate, and after that those people who are eager "to make document" of one's language by making grammar.
Let's talk about the disadvantages of English Day. Many people refer English day as Silent day. This is something that must be thrown out of our mindset. How could they say that? Is it because they're scared of speaking English so they start to make excuses?
So let's start with the most easiest thing to do. TRY. TRY to speak English. Even if it's just greeting and I'm very sure you will add up more confidence to yourself. When you make something wrong when you're speaking just keep trying, well, at least people still understand you right? If they laugh at you, stay strong. As you go along, will soon be able to construct a more longer sentences with good pronunciation.
Let's think of this, when all people are eager and willing to speak English, you will soon realized that you're indirectly on an English speaking community. This is where things became easier to develop. By being in a community, you will enhanced your ability in speaking English.
Above all those things I've said to you is that, all things start from inside of us. No matter what. And when we realized that English brings many benefits to us, wherever we are or will be, we will soon rocked our mouth with English. In the end, all those excellent programs will be your fun games, just like me when I am watching superhero movies.
To wrap this all out, I say thank you to Mr. Arnell who has given us this space to scrounge our Opinions, Ideas, Sharing, Feeling, and most Importantly contributions in making English Day Program, a more exceptional program.
I think the program is good but i feel sorry with the other student who can't speak english very well..
i don't think that english can make relationship bad...coz you can talk in bahasa in our class right?
why don't you think it's important for our future?
